WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT

We are a non-profit, family oriented club dedicated to promoting the sport of four-wheeling on our public lands. We strive to keep existing roads and trails open for all off-highway motorized recreation and to enjoy and protect our natural and cultural resources in the pursuit and enjoyment of the outdoors and back-country trail exploration.

We attempt to educate the public while projecting a positive image of off-highway motorized recreation in a safe and responsible manner and by adhering to the tenets of the "Tread Lightly!" philosophy. Whatever we take into the back country we take out and always remove trash left by others. "Leave No Trace."

On club outings members and guests are helped if they have vehicle problems and no one is ever left stranded on a run. As enjoyable as it may be, we do not recommend traveling alone in the desert - safety in numbers!

The Bullhead 4 Wheelers in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management have adopted 11 trails in the area. They vary in difficulty and all identified by signs at the start of the trails. They include the Sleeping Princess, 3D, 3 1/2, Blind Mans Bluff, Hard Ass, Candy Ass, Doug’s Obsession, Pass Canyon, Pinto Wash, Razzle Dazzle And Secret Pass. The club is responsible for the bi-annual maintenance of the trails and removing any trash or debris we may find.  The club has also coordinated with BLM on various projects to enhance the use of our public lands.

Come and ride with us as a guest - you'll have a good time.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Owning a four-wheel drive vehicle is required. You need to attend two runs and two meetings within a one year period; fill out a membership application and pay a $35.00 annual membership fee.  We are members of the Blue Ribbon Coalition and support other organizations that promote the sport of four wheeling on our public lands.

Now that you know what we're all about come and join us - we do have fun - and so will you!

RUNS

We have two official club runs a month with members volunteering to organize and lead the runs. Additional runs are welcomed at any time. We encourage all members to join in leading and assisting in promoting different runs. Everyone loves to experience new trails and explore new areas.

CLUB MEETINGS

Meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month, with the exception of July and August, when the club "goes dark" for the summer. Meeting location is at the Chaparral Club House, 1260 Mohave Drive, Bullhead City, at 6:30 p.m. (subject to change). Dinner is available to purchase prior to the meeting around 5:00 - 5:30. Guests are always welcome.

ELECTIONS

Officers are elected in December for a one year term, but can be re-elected if they so desire. Yearly, the president appoints a board of directors with the vice-president as chairman of the board.

BIO

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles and I’ve been riding dirt bikes since I was a teenager. Once I started a family, I moved to the “safer” quad runners, this way I could slowly get my kids involved in my hobby. About 12 years ago I decided to start jeeping as I found I required more comfort as I got older. I bought a 2006 Rubicon and began modifying it.

I loved coming out to Laughlin for the water and desert recreation since the early 1990s. In the early 2000s, my wife and I decided that we should retire here and bought a home in Laughlin. I soon met some of the Bullhead 4 Wheelers and was invited out on some runs. In California, I found many of the clubs were not friendly, and frankly a little insulting to new members. I found the Bullhead group was way more friendly and helpful, and made me feel welcome.

I now own a 4 seat RZR side by side, a lifted 2006 Rubicon with 35” tires and a 1976 CJ7 that doesn’t much resemble a jeep anymore. It has full hydraulic steering front and rear, 40” tires, and no heater or AC. My biggest decision is which one to take out on the trail.

In late 2023 I was elected President of Bullhead 4 Wheelers. We have runs of all skill levels and vehicle ability, and lots of very helpful wheelers to assist our members and guests.
